In my special education work, I have the opportunity to provide services to a wide variety of student populations, including those who have severe mental and physical disabilities. Here are a couple of company’s items that may help some of your clients in active music experiences.
There are a few items by Enabling Devices that combine switch technology with instrumental play. A primary example is the Band Jam. Other items include the adapted bongo drum, and The Music Machine. The Enabling Devices products use a switch-operated motor, allowing for gumball or big mack switches to operate them.
The multiple instrument holders, individual instrument holders, and attachments at A Day’s Work Music Education are hand-crafted and highly durable.
What other adaptive items do you use? Feel free to comment below.
